The legendary and multi-award winning dj/producer that is Krafty Kuts needs no real introduction. King of the beats and one of the hardest working people in the scene today, the Brighton native makes a welcome return to Bombstrikes with a new 4 track EP, showcasing why he is in a league of his own. With a vigorous touring schedule, releasing an album with Jurassic 5’s Chali 2na, Number 1 Podcasts on iTunes and his last release being play listed on BBC 6 music, the bar is always going to be set high for his return, especially after his last release on Bombstrikes was his best-selling track of the last 12 months. But fear not, the bar has been raised!
Things kick off with ‘Right There' which is an out and out dance floor bomb, with its infectious Disco hook and saxophone riff that battle for supremacy throughout the track and play off each other to great effect. This is followed by the EP’s title track “Wandering’, with its forward thinking and progressive 110 funk and a vocal that conveys real emotion, making this track a masterclass in electronic music production. ‘Speaker Buster’ does exactly what it says on the tin, with industrial style basslines meeting hip hop in a head on collision. Finally, ‘You’re the reason’ is a straight up party starting battle weapon. Old school Funk meets new school production in perfect harmony which consummately shows just why Krafty Kuts is still ahead of the game. A truly essential release.
